Sometimes it depends on the ambient signal available. I'll check more into the schematics for a Razr. I believe yours is CDMA, no?

Does the wire need to be sheathed? Can it be bare copper? Also what shank size of drywall screw were you using #6, #8, or does it make a difference?

Is this antenna tuned for 800 or 1900 mhz?

I have a Sprint Novatel U727 mobile broadband unit which operates exclusively on the 1900 mhz band.

Hi, I live in Spain and I use GSM 900-1800-1900 Network.
I have an internal-antenna of my cellphone and the battery is over the hole that you joins the new antenna, so it's imposible to put it outside the cellphone. Can I put it making a spiral inside the cellphone?.
